To follow Christ

The call of Jesus Christ has always been: follow me.

He always demands an abandonment of your previous life,

and this calling has never changed.

He who abandons nothing cannot be a disciple.

 

The discipleship is a self-sacrifice,

and it is indefinitely distancing yourself from everything that is bad.

It is saying no to any compromise,

from any barrier that prevents you from following Christ.

 

To follow Christ is to say no to oneself,

to crucify every day your will,

to carry out an absolute and vigorous surrender,

and to have an intimate and profound relationship.

 

To follow Christ is to give him first place,

and to confess his name publicly.

Forget about oneself and follow him,

without delay and without reserve.
